The Talener Group specializes in placing both full time and contract technology professionals into jobs in 5 large US markets (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago), with a range of companies from small start-ups to Fortune 100 organizations. We currently have specialized, team-based practices in our offices that have specific technology domains they focus on, ensuring that our recruiting efforts are as specialized as they are localized. As of 2013 we continue to experience organic growth and have since our founding in 2007, and we plan to continue opening new offices in major metropolitan areas this year and going forward.
When starting Talener, we made it our mission to perpetuate the growth and development of our staff, while striving to revolutionize the way technology recruiting works, both for our clients and for our candidates. We have a talented group of senior associates and managers with over 15 years of experience ready to develop our next generation of technology recruiting experts.
We look for college graduates who have demonstrated leadership (student government or clubs, Greek life, athletics, theater, debate, etc.) and possess outgoing personalities. We’ve developed a comprehensive sales training program focused on building full desk recruiters working in teams who work accounts from cradle to grave (market research, prospecting/calling, pitching, solution selling, client meetings, interviewing, matching, account management, negotiation, closure, follow up). Our associates are very confident, engaging, organized, have dynamic personalities and a strong motivation to grow professionally – which translates into superior client services skills.
Our merit-based promotion system puts progression in your hands. Take for instance Rob Laughlin – current Director of our Boston office. Rob graduated from Colgate University in May of 2010 and started with Talener in New York that June. Based upon his performance in New York, Rob was promoted in 2011 to a management role in our San Francisco office. Over the course of the following year, Rob ran a very high performing team and promoted again to a Director seat when it came time to open our Boston office. Our offices are very professional (but FAR from stuffy) and our teams foster an energetic environment that allows our staff to quickly learn in a truly collaborative style.
