My client is one of the leading publishing companies in the United States.  They are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their Project Management Office (PMO).  This person will be responsible for the overall successful planning, management and execution of IT projects.  There will be some business analysis involved, but this is clearly a PMO with a mission of best practice project management to deliver projects on time, on budget and as scoped.  The Senior Technical Project Manager will work with developers, designers, and database architects to ensure that projects are running smoothly.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 6+ years of experience in project management
• Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Full Project Life Cycle
• Client-facing experience
• Functional specifications

 

Pluses:

• PMP certification
• Publishing experience
• MBA or higher degree
• Developer experience

 

Salary is commensurate with experience, but will be $110,000-$125,000
