My NYC-based client is a global leader in breaking financialnews and analytics.  They are urgentlyseeking a full-time Sr. Linux Systems Administrator to develop and enhance enterprisesystems.  Competitive salary contingentupon experience.

 Responsibilities:

• Scripting and automation using Shell, Perl,Python, and other common Linux utilities.
• Red Hat administration and engineering in afast-paced environment.
• Serve as the liaison with vendors concerningprocurement of Linux related hardware and software.
• Ability to follow programming best-practices andperforming 3rd party quality control.
• Lead efforts to diagnose and completely resolvecomplex systems configuration, production and deployment problems

About you:

• 5+ years of systems administration/engineering
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to make recommendations and resource adjustments
• Creative and positive attitude that translateswell in team environment
