Our client has been the leader in news, entertainment and media for over three decades. They became the most watched television network in the country and now have become the leading online presence for news, sports, finance, entertainment, etc. on the web.

Currently they are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join the existing team in there New York City headquarters. The company’s technology stack is based on a Java, J2EE and Oracle platform. Key projects include rebuilding the company’s CMS, building brand new Web Applications and API’s to drive content to all of today’s platforms. Candidates should have a strong foundation in hand-on programming with Java, Web Services, Spring, Hibernate, Web application servers (WebLogic or WebSphere and Jboss) on an Oracle Database. Experience developing the UI layer of enterprise web application that are consumer facing would be strong plus. The main focus will be to build the back-end systems the UI will connect to. Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX are a strong plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years Java Development
• Enterprise Web Application experience
• Spring and Hibernate
• Oracle or another RDBMS
• Computer Science
• 2 years in a technical lead position.

The job will focus on the hand-on development aspects of building enterprise web application. Candidates should be comfortable programming, designing and implementation. In addition to the devel0pment aspect of the job, you will also be leading both onshore and offshore development teams. The job will include code reviews, architecture, task assignment and management.
