Our client is a seeking a hands-on Director of Software Development. The job is with an international media company that is launching a new consumer digital media product. The job will be based in the company’s New York City headquarters. As the director of the team; candidates should be comfortable with all aspects of the software development life-cycle. The right person will have experience with large scale consumer facing web applications.

REQUIRED:

• 5-8 years digital media software development experience
• Java / J2EE
• Web Services (RESTful)
• HTML / HTML 5
• API’s
• FLASH
• Agile SDLC
• XML
• Oracle

Candidates should be able to architect and lead all technology initiatives for this team. You will have 7 direct reports. In addition to your technical ability a strong understanding of business requirements and working with executive staff is required. The company’s product will be launched on all of today’s latest platforms; Mobile, Web, Game Console, Connected TV.

You will be involved in the scaling of the business unit and a candidate with a “start-up” mentality would have the attitude this client is seeking. You will be focused on best practices, setting technical standards and process and functional requirements.

Our client will provide a full compensation package equal to that of a fortune 1000 company. Salary is based on experience and in the range of 150-175k.
