Boston – 6 Month PHP Contract – $40/hr

Our client is an international provider of on-site technical talent in field services in the cloud that is seeking a PHP contractor to help with the development of their internal and external marketplace applications.  The company counts major companies such as Comcast, AT&T and Apple as clients and recently completed 2 million transactions in the industry.

The right candidate will have strong PHP and MySQL skills, as well as solid front end JavaScript/AngularJS skills as well.  This is a full-stacks role, with emphasis given to the PHP/MySQL side of things.  You will join an 11 person team and immediately play an important role in handling the increase bandwidth that comes with a successful platform.

Boston – Big Data Engineer – 130k

Our client is looking for a seasoned big data engineer to join a small team of like-minded fellows as they identify, analyze and build the solutions to major corporations’ big data problems.  Traditionally, the company has identified their clients’ problems and implemented vendor products as solutions.  However, as the sands of time continue, management has decided to begin the production of an in-house product that they will be able to offer and are looking for the right people to lead that development.

The right people will have solid experience with scalability/big data problems and will come equipped with the Python, Java or Ruby skills to craft the solutions to such problems.  The specific language that you are best at is less important than your understanding of the concepts and ability to come up with unique answers to unique questions.

MUST HAVES:

  • Big Data (Hadoop, Cassandra, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, etc.)
  • Python/Ruby/Java
  • Scalability experience

PLUSES:

  • Systems administration experience
