New York: Senior / Lead JAVA Software Engineer – Platform Development Start-up

Our client is a building a state of art software platform to allow clients to integrate voice recognition controls into existing web applications. This is the latest technology venture of one of New York’s most successful start-up entrepreneurs. The right candidate for the job will have an extensive software engineering background in JAVA / J2EE. They are using the Glassfish framework in addition to JSF, Web Services and MySQL. As the senior engineer and you will have the opportunity to move more towards a leadership position while remaining in a hands-on position. The product will be offered as a Platform as a Service (PaaS) and is becoming the latest feature for mobile web applications. The ability to control applications through voice recognition will be the norm in the years to come and our client once again is “ahead of the curve” in New York start-up technology scene.

Requirements:

4-5 years web product based Java / J2EE engineering
Experience with Glassfish or other Java based frame works, i.e.: Spring
Web Services – RESTful or SOAP
SQL
API’s
Knowledge of Front-end engineering is a plus (JSF, CSS, XHTML)

This is a job for candidates who want to work for a New York City based start-up. Prior start-up experience is a plus but not required. You should be comfortable working independently and being able to influence the team around you. In addition to working on this new technology platform, you will also have a heavy impact on the technologies being introduced in the future. You will be encouraged to suggest products and tools and resources that will help scale the technology to meet today’s needs.

New York – Pharma Project Manager/Producer – $110k

My client, an established mobile marketing company, is seeking a Project Manager / Producer for a contract to hire role in their Lower Manhattan headquarters. The ideal candidate for this position will have two to five years of digital experience. At least three year of pharma experience is required. While this mobile marketing company has clients in all industries, this project manager will be focused on working with pharma clients. Having experience with mobile web or mobile applications is preferred. A marketing and advertising background is preferred. You will be working with one main client on multiple mobile web and web services initiatives. Candidates should have experience managing projects throughout the entire development lifecycle. Candidates must have experience working on complex digital projects, such as customized mobile apps or website builds. The team will be about 6-8 people consisting of other project managers and digital executives. You will also be partnering with an account manager, an off-shore development team and designers. Agile experience is strongly preferred.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years in the digital space/project management
3+ year of pharma experience

2-5 years in the digital space/project management working on complex/customized digital projects
