Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Infrastructure Manager with heavy VMware experience to work in the New York City headquarters of the company. The job will oversee a 24/7 Mission Critical large scale Web and Mobile based software product. As the Manager of Technology you will be responsible for overall Network Infrastructure to include 200 servers (combination of Windows and Linux), Cisco routers and switches, VMware, Exchange Server, Pix Firewalls and LAN optimization.

The company is based in New York but also has a location in upstate New York and 4 datacenters in the U.S. and Internationally. The right candidate should be comfortable with Network architecture to include LAN/WAN connectivity and server management with a specialization in virtualization and the VMware product. The job will have a total of 3-5 direct reports. You should come from a hands-on infrastructure background and now be comfortable leading teams with the ability to architect and troubleshoot complex mission critical infrastructure products. 

REQUIRED:

• 5+ years Windows and Linux System’s Engineering experience
• 2+ years leading networking teams
• Strong knowledge of web servers and technologies
• VMware and Virtualization
• Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls
• Experience setting up a disaster recovery environment
• 24/7 multi-site environment

Our client has built a web based software product that is used by many of the business world’s largest companies in both the private and public sector. They are the leading force behind emergency notification and incident management in the country. As the Manager of the Infrastructure group you must be very comfortable working directly with clients, managing vendor relationships and leading client meetings.

This is a full-time job based in New York City. The candidate must be comfortable with Network Infrastructure and Network Security architecture and risk mitigation. You should be capable of client presentations and communicating directly with the customer. The company offers a full compensation package; including medical and dental benefits, 401k, paid training and vacation. Base salary is depending on experience with a target of 135k.
