Our client, an independent creative digital agency based in downtown Manhattan, is looking for a Senior .NET Web Developer.  This person will develop a variety of web pages for their newly acquired clients. This agency was recently recognized by IAC for their web development, and is looking to build up their development team.

 

Must Have Skills:

-3+ years of experience with C# ASP.NET

-Web Services

- SQL Server 2005/2008, ability to write Scripts, Store Procedures, etc

- AJAX/SOAP, Javascript

-IIS

-XML, HTML

- Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010

- In-depth understanding of MVC 3+

-OOP and multi-threaded application development.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

 

Major Pluses:

- JQuery

- Analyze, design, estimate for all application tiers

- Code, test, debug, and document

- Revise and update programs and processes and create documentation as required

- Develop software development processes and company standards and practices

- Ability to interact with Business Owners to gather and document project requirements

- Able to highlight and communicate project status, tasks, milestones, risks, issues and constraints to project team and stakeholders

- Able to prepare and present project and technology documents to group

Our client is a seeking a hands-on Director of Software Development. The job is with an international media company that is launching a new consumer digital media product. The job will be based in the company’s New York City headquarters. As the director of the team; candidates should be comfortable with all aspects of the software development life-cycle. The right person will have experience with large scale consumer facing web applications.

REQUIRED:

  • 5-8 years digital media software development experience
  • Java / J2EE
  • Web Services (RESTful)
  • HTML / HTML 5
  • API’s
  • FLASH
  • Agile SDLC
  • XML
  • Oracle

Candidates should be able to architect and lead all technology initiatives for this team. You will have 7 direct reports. In addition to your technical ability a strong understanding of business requirements and working with executive staff is required. The company’s product will be launched on all of today’s latest platforms; Mobile, Web, Game Console, Connected TV.

Our client will provide a full compensation package equal to that of a fortune 1000 company. Salary is based on experience and in the range of 150-175k.

Our client, a premier provider of breaking news, is developing a video platform that will revolutionize the media industry. Our client has built strong business relationships with some of the country’s leading news outlets. They are based in central New Jersey; and are seeking a software engineering consultant to join their technology team. The job requires candidates to have a strong background in C#.NET 3.5/4.0 and the ability to create dynamic applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery from static mock ups.

REQUIRED:

  • C# Coding in .Net3.5/4.0
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript from static mock ups
  • Strong  jQuery skills (Ajax, UI Libraries)
  • Strong WCF Web Services Experience
  • Microsoft .Net’s MVC
  • Ability to write Unit Tests

PLUSES:

  • Experience with Test Driven Development is a plus
  • Experience working with TFS is plus
  • Ability to write stored procedures and create tables in SQL Server
