We’re seeking a Director, Information Security and Cyber Security to join a New York City based, SaaS company. Our client builds trading technology platforms, provides financial market data and services for broker/dealer trading. The company is based in lower Manhattan, in the financial district and requires a local candidate that’s able to be onsite 3x week. As the Head of InfoSec, you will be part of the global infrastructure team, managing and leading all information security initiatives. Candidates should be technical leaders with hands-on experience in the latest InfoSec techniques with a desire to remain a technical leader. 
 
Job Title:  Director, Information Security 
Location:  New York City (hybrid 3x/week Manhattan)
 
Required Technology and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure and information security. 
  • 3+ years as a senior manager and leader of network and application security. 
  • Hands-on foundation of security technologies in application security, network security and regulatory practices. 
  • Experience working with various IT, business departments to ensure proper security measures. 
  • Established IT Security strategies, and governance to meet company standards and needs. 
  • Implement and secure security automation, threat detection and incident response. 
  • Knows best practices, industry frameworks and security fundamentals. 
  • Extensive and expert level knowledge of Linux Systems/OS, Windows, Cloud Security and DevSecOps. 
  • Knowledge of Linux tools and configuration in Active Directory and VMware security. 
  • Technical experience with multifaceted authentication, and single sign-on. 
  • Ability to architect complex security systems and expert knowledge of network and web protocols. 
  • AWS Cloud experience and security measures. 
  • MDM and remote work security. 
  • Threat modeling, IAM/PAM deployments. 
Additional Skills:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related InfoSec/Cyber field. 
  • Relevant industry certifications. 
  • Building and leading security teams of engineers. 
  • Experience managing 3rd party security vendors and outsourcing support teams.
 Compensation: The target base salary range is $230,000-$260,000.

Client:  Our client established its business as the financial trading industry evolved to become an online business. They had one of the first go to market trading platforms in 90’s. They remain a private company with 200+ employees. Candidates with industry experience in financial systems, software (SaaS) or InfoSec/Cyber Consulting industry experience is a plus. This position will grow to a VP level but will remain a technical position. The candidate will have 3 direct reports and must be the strongest InfoSec person on the team. This job is local to NYC, and only candidates local and able to work onsite 3x per week will be considered.
