Our client is an industry leading technology firm in the financial services sector, their state-of-the-art trading platforms are used by both brokers and dealers to facilitate the trading of securities both in the United States and abroad.    They are looking to hire an Information Security Engineer for a 6 month contract with the possibility of converting to full time
 
Job Title:   Information Security Engineer
 
Location:  Hybrid-New York, NY
 
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
· 5 years’ experience working as an Information Security Engineer-preferably in fintech or financial services
· Experience working with Linux log files, Linux OS, Linux CIS Benchmark, authentication and authorization, or managing SSH Keys
· Understanding AWS security and how to integrate/use it for backup data protection.
· Expert with Identity and Access management best practices
· Experience with ISO 27001 standard, CIS Benchmarks, and risk assessment methodologies
· Help manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems
· Experience working with VMware security
· Experience with regulatory compliance such as SEC Regulation SCI requirements
· Implement a comprehensive GRC framework that integrates governance, risk management, and compliance.
· Strong 3rd party and vendor management skills

 
Nice to have Skills: 
· CISSP, CISM, CISA
· Master’s degree in Computer Science
· Experience working in financial services


Compensation:  
· Hourly rate of $100-110/hr
