Job Title: LLM Engineer

Location: Remote (candidates must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work to be considered)

Job Summary:

As an LLM Engineer you will play a crucial role on our client's newly minted Discovery team which focuses on building out GenAI and AgenticAI prototypes and POC's for prospective clients both internally and externally. You will be responsible for building and managing the LLM's and agentic components of their system and will collaborate regularly with both software engineers and end users. Strong communication skills, problem solving ability, and a proactive attitude are going to be critical components of the position to go a long with 3+ years of professional experience and an advanced degree in a STEM discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with industry leaders to leverage LLM and Agentic technologies to revolutionize the delivery of legal services
Play a key role in the research, development, application and commercialization of cutting-edge LLM's and Agentic solutions to address complex legal challenges
Work closely with a diverse team including attorneys, software engineers, and other AI experts, to build out POC's and prototypes for prospective clients ensuring the firm's AI solutions are not only technically sound but also address the intricacies of legal work
Perform LLMOps and work across the entire lifecycle of an LLM including data and prompt management, model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance

Qualifications:

3+ years of professional experience with the most recent year+ being spent diving into advanced GenAI technologies such as large language modeling and agentic systems
Professional experience with commonly used LLM frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, PydanticAI, etc.
Ability to write Python code to create prototypes and POC's and work collaboratively with Software Engineers who will "harden" and refactor that code as needed
Fundamental understanding of how agentic systems operate and are traced, logged, and monitored
Strong communication skills, problem solving ability, and a proactive attitude
A background in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline
Master's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM field
Located in the United States and legally authorized to work without the need for sponsorship or visa transfer

Compensation And Benefits

This position offers a highly competitive compensation package, with a targeted salary range of $160,000 – $200,000.
