Our client is seeking a highly skilled Category Management Lead to drive business growth and deliver strategic insights. We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Lead to serve as a trusted advisor in category management. This individual will analyze consumer behavior, provide actionable insights, and drive category strategies to achieve mutual business goals for the company and its customers.

Job Title: Category Management Lead
Location: Hybrid – Westlake, Ohio
Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000

Responsibilities:

Serve as a subject matter expert on tools such as planogram optimization software and point-of-sales data.
Collaborate with account management and marketing to optimize assortment, placement, and promotional strategies.
Develop compelling, data-driven presentations to communicate recommendations and business objectives.
Monitor trends in the industry and implement best practices to drive category growth and ROI.
Establish category management strategies and approaches that align with customer and organizational goals.
Provide insights into consumer and shopper behavior through research and analysis, steering business strategy accordingly.
Manage relationships with third-party data providers and implement enhancements to category management processes.
Mentor junior team members and facilitate training to promote continuous learning.

Qualifications:

Expertise in analyzing and leveraging panel data tools (e.g., Numerator, Luminate) and customer point-of-sale data.
5+ years of experience in category management or a similar role within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Power BI.
Strong storytelling skills to engage stakeholders and present actionable insights.
Experience with research methodologies, project management, and scoping is preferred.
Advanced skills in planogram development tools (e.g., ImpactXP) and assortment optimization are a plus.
