Our client is a well-known, female founded media organization, located in the heart of New York City. Their mission to is to give users cutting-edge news, lifestyle reporting, financial advice, entertainment, and live content in a very simple, easy to digest manner. A new initiative for their engineering department is to build out a robust, mutli-platform application that streamlines all of their products and allows their organization to scale user base. Due to this growth, they seek a seasoned Staff-Level Data Engineer
Job Title: Principal (Staff) Data Engineer
Location: Remote (US) or NYC
Required Technology and Skills:
- 7+ of Data Engineering experience in a software/app environment. Preferably startup experience
- Expertise with Python, AWS RedShift, SQL (Postgres)
- Excellent ETL/Pipeline Build Skills
- Experience with Microservice environments, and using tools like Kafka
- Strong growth driven personality- someone who is ambitious to achieve results and have a great impact
Additional Skills and Responsibilities:
- Snowflake
- Provide coaching and mentorship to co-ops and other team members
- Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and software demonstrations
Compensation:
- Salary of $140-185k
