Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join their team as the Senior Manager – Data Engineering. This role will be working tirelessly, ensuring successful leadership and inspire the data engineering team, engage with the business and identify new functionality, develop compelling business cases, prioritize projects, and develop plans that maximize return on investment for the company.

Job Title: Senior Manager – Data Engineering

Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid 3x a week in person)

Required Technology and Skills:

Strong experience in managing data engineering teams.
Demonstrate experience in managing and delivering data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
Strong experience in designing data platform solutions using DBT, Snowflake, AWS.
Experience in building BI/ Analytics solutions; Can demonstrate capabilities in Data Analysis.
Experience in delivering large data migration projects which include data ingestion, data modeling, data transformation and data consumption.
Hands-on experience with a variety of technologies from cloud infrastructure to systems development to cloud architecture and SaaS. Must be able to dive deep with the team and guide the work to ensure a proper delivery of needed outcomes.
Able to attract, develop and retain talent and build high performing application development teams.
Ability to foster a culture of transparency and a sense of purpose among the team, challenging old paradigms while creating clear accountabilities and performance metrics.
Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.

Qualifications and Experience

12 to 15 years of experience in software development and majority in Data domain.
Develop and lead a collaborative and Agile software development approach delivering high velocity, with ROI in quarters while maintaining a strong focus on solution configurability, quality, and scalability.
Identify emerging technology trends, especially in SaaS solutions, cloud computing, automation and DevOps and ensure the company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and drive value.
Be an execution leader driving business outcome with a combination of inhouse team and outsourced services, both onshore and offshore.
Be a thought leader and define solutions for Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
Collaborate with the BI and Data Science team to deliver business intelligence and analytics capability supported by Enterprise Data Platform.
Define and maintain best practices and framework related to EDP in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
Foster a culture of transparency and a sense of purpose among the team, challenging old paradigms while creating clear accountabilities and performance metrics.

Compensation: The target base salary will range from $170,000-$175,000, based on experience, + 15% bonus based on experience.
