We’re seeking a professional Technical Project Manager to join our client’s Digital Products team. The client is based in New York City and is the leading non-profit for digital rights of artists and entertainers. They have a rich history of over 100 years or working with the world’s best talent bringing millions upon millions of people access to content that seen, heard and experienced. The right candidate for the job will have at least 5 years+ working as a technical project manager in a corporate environment. This job will require both a strong technical acumen towards digital projects and applications. But will also require the ability to work with non-technical business units and stakeholders. They will work directly with C-level executives on project planning, execution, and delivery. As part of the product and project management team and due to the client facing nature of the job. Only candidates local to New York City and able to be onsite 3x per week will be contacted and considered. 
 
Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: New York City – Manhattan – Onsite/Hybrid Required
 
Required Technology and Skills:

  • 5+ years of in-house Project Management roles with established companies.
  • Establishing, refining, and maintaining project management processes and methodologies that align with the needs of complex, and time sensitive initiatives.
  • Own the overall project timelines, risk mitigation strategy and change management process.
  • Lead meetings, memorialize key decisions and follow up on identified action items.
  • Overall project goals and critical project milestones are created, documented, and communicated to all cross-team project contributors.
  • Establish and maintains key project management processes and methodologies – project kick off deck, project plan, project documentation.
  • Ensure due diligence is completed with the business and legal affairs team, security teams, stakeholder, senior leadership, client services, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Complete detailed test plans and success criteria in collaboration with the technology team and/or subject matter experts as needed.
 
Additional Skills:

  • A PMP certification and bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with project management tools and software EX: Smartsheets
  • Proven experience working on complex, time-sensitive projects with senior executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to present to a variety of project stakeholders in a meaningful and influential manner.
  • Exposure to Agile Development environments.
  • Great multi-tasking, organizational, written, and verbal skills.

Compensation: The target base salary for this job is 120,000-135,000 + 10% discretionary bonus.
