Vice President of Software Engineering – Salesforce
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Onsite / 3x per week.

About the Job:
We are partnering with a premier, member-led global media and entertainment services organization that protects and manages intellectual property rights for hundreds of thousands of creators worldwide. With a mission-driven culture that balances deep industry impact with technical innovation, our client is looking for a VP of Software Engineering to lead, scale, and modernize their core Licensing and Financial Engineering domain. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will own the technology vision and execution across customer-facing digital applications and enterprise back-office platforms. You will manage cross-functional engineering teams driving complex transaction processing, cloud architecture, CRM integrations, and financial systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Technical & Strategic Leadership: Define the engineering vision, delivery model, and architecture for mission-critical licensing and enterprise financial platforms.
- Team Scaling & Mentorship: Lead, retain, and recruit high-performing software engineering teams; establish clear career paths and a continuous improvement in culture.
- Delivery Excellence: Optimize Agile delivery pipelines, shorten time-to-market, and elevate modern DevSecOps, security, and quality assurance practices.
- Architecture & Scalability: Oversee resilient, highly available enterprise systems handling high-volume transactional data, cloud services, and integration workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Executive Leadership, and internal business stakeholders to align technical roadmaps with organizational growth.
- Resource & Financial Oversight: Manage technical forecasting, infrastructure planning, vendor partner strategy, and headcount budgeting.
Key Technology Environment:
- Cloud & Backend: AWS (EC2, S3, AppFlow, Lambda, RDS, SQS), Java, RESTful / SOAP APIs, .NET
- Enterprise CRM & Integration: Salesforce (Apex, Triggers, Declarative Development), Enterprise Integration Platforms (e.g., Boomi)
- Data & ERP: Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, RDS), ERP Financial Systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), Business Intelligence/Objects
Experience:
- 15+ years of total software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.
- 7+ years in engineering leadership, successfully managing medium-to-large multi-team organizations.
- Hands-on foundation with Salesforce ecosystem implementations (APEX, triggers, declarative workflows) alongside broad Java and AWS cloud environments.
- Deep experience in high-volume transaction management, complex data integrations, and enterprise financial or licensing workflows.
- Proven track record leading DevSecOps/Agile transformations using modern workflow tooling (Jira, Rally, etc.).
- Excellent executive presence with a collaborative, growth-oriented leadership style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred); AWS or Salesforce certifications are a strong plus.
